Our head office in Surrey, B.C., is currently accepting applications for an Accounts Payable Manager.

Job Purpose:

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing all activities in the accounts payable function. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate payments for multiple companies
  • Review payment registers and authorize the release of payments
  • Organize signed EFT payments for transmission
  • Review outstanding payable reports printed from Syspro (ERP system)
  • Review weekly AP compliance reports from staff
  • Provide bi-weekly and monthly management updates on any compliance or any other major AP issues
  • Work with staff, other managers, and vendors to resolve any AP issues that may arise
  • Ensure audit requests are coordinated and completed by staff
  • Responsible for the timely completion of any ad hoc projects
  • Management of AP team and receptionist
  • Responsible for selecting and training any new staff members as required
  • Resolve any team issues as required
  • Provide guidance on problem solving for staff as required
  • Maintain and coordinate the department vacation schedule. Ensure team is cross trained.
  • Ensure staff follow company/department policies and procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years of AP management/supervisory experience
  • Accounting degree/diploma
  • Possess excellent organizational skills, ability to think analytically, have an attention to detail and the ability to multitasks
